The Nootropic Lab Editorial Team
The Nootropic Lab is an independent editorial publication that reviews cognitive supplements using a transparent five-pillar methodology. We operate as an editorial collective and do not disclose individual contributors by name.
We do not accept payment for reviews, do not feature sponsored placements, and disclose every commercial relationship via our affiliate-link policy. See our methodology for the full scoring framework.

Editorial standards
- Every product review applies the same five-pillar scoring framework.
- Ingredient doses are evaluated against minimum effective doses from peer-reviewed human clinical trials (PubMed-indexed).
- Affiliate disclosure renders at the top of every commercial page, before the first call-to-action.
- Region-specific regulatory disclaimers are surfaced on every commercial page (for example the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act (DSHEA), the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), Health Canada’s Natural Product Number (NPN), Japan’s Foods with Function Claims (FFC), Argentina’s Administración Nacional de Medicamentos, Alimentos y Tecnología Médica (ANMAT), the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), Indonesia’s Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Produk Halal (BPJPH) and the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM)).
- Errors are corrected promptly and transparently. We never delete or quietly edit factual claims after publication.
Regional note
Natural health products available in Canada are regulated by Health Canada under the Natural Health Products Regulations. Where a product holds an NPN (Natural Product Number), Health Canada says that number “assures consumers that the product has been reviewed and approved by Health Canada for safety and efficacy”; it also states, “To be licensed in Canada, natural health products must be safe, effective, of high quality” (canada.ca, checked 2026-10-08). A cross-border import without an NPN has not been through that Health Canada assessment.
